‘True Blood’ Recap: The Beginnings Of Fangtasia & Hoyt’s Return
Alcide (Joe Manganiello) is gone and we are all still sad about it. Sookie was making the necessary calls to family members to let them know the news. She called Alcide’s dad who was having fun with a nearly naked lady. Alcide’s dad told Sookie that Alcide was never happier than when he was with her, therefore twisting the knife about Sookie not loving him enough.
Jason (Ryan Kwanten) also had a tough call to make. He had to let Hoyt(!) know that his mother had died. Hoyt was working in Anchorage, Alaska. Jason let him know that his mom was killed by a vampire, but Jason didn’t tell him the whole story. Jason started to get emotional since he was Hoyt’s (Jim Parrick) best friend, but Hoyt didn’t remember him because he’d been glamoured. (I love that Jason can cry. Such a sensitive guy.)
Meanwhile, Pam and Eric were on their way back to Louisiana. Pam scheduled the flight to land in Baton Rouge, but Eric wanted to land in Shreveport. He wanted to take responsibility for his progeny, Willa (Amelia Rose Blaire), before he died. Pam said there was nothing left for them in Shreveport, but Eric begged to differ. Flashback to 1986! Pam and Eric were checking out a video store/adult video store that would later become…wait for it…FANGTASIA! Eric was also asked to be the sheriff way back when.
Sookie went to visit Arlene’s (Carrie Preston) kids and promise them she would bring their mom back. (Don’t make a promise you can’t keep, Sookie.) Sookie headed to Holly’s place to find out where Arlene was located. Andy wasn’t so sure of Sookie’s method to make Holly remember, but he really didn’t have a choice. Sookie went through her memories and it was super painful for Holly. However, Sookie got the information she needed and ventured to Bill’s to form a plan.
